getting rid of lexus's please help wiring problem!!

ive just got another vtr the other night and it has lexus lights on it, i was about to swap a boy for a set of mk1 standard lights tonight.

Took the right hand light off that was fine unclipped multi plug thing and sat it in the boot and said wait ill get the other one off the now....took the light off and the wiring is butchered to f**k!! its all over the place....best thing to do???

or any diagrams for back lights would be helpful

Solder a new bit of light loom in ?

any pics of the mess mate? all you could do is go to a scrappy get the end of the clip and wire it/solder it back up yourself

If you look at the wires the other side then you should be able to match up what goes where

cheers mate but all the wires on nearside are heatshrinked together they are a nightmare and i obv dont wana drive about with no rear lights

ill upload a photo 2moro night mate i looked at it tonigh but forgot to get a photo...but iirc it has

2 solid green
1 green&yellow
3 pink
2 yellow kinda cream colour
1 red
on either side
iirc!!! some1 please help if im wrong

bumping an old thread up....right found a boy sellin a set of mk1 rears so got them and chopped a bit of his wiring off for the left hand side took it home compared it to my wiring and its completly different... my head hurts and i want rid of these lexus lights asap!!!!

this is the horrors i want rid of


take it off ones day to find this...



so as i said i now have a bit of rear light look from a mk1 but mine is a mk2 and the wires are diff can some1 please help help help!!!

coming from the car just now into the lexus shites the wires are

2green
1green and yellow(earth i presume)
2baigey colour
3pink
and one red(live i presume)

and from the plug i got you can see in the pics.. not quality pics as there off a mobile

ye I had the same fitment as you for my shadey lexus lights but..
at the end of the lexus light wires it was connected to a "plug/conector"
I had to reach my hand inside the body work to grab the "plug" where the lexus light wires and the standard wires met then just cliped off.

anyway took this pic to try explain what I mean m8.



Ps. do you have the inserts for the standard saxo lights ye?

nah bud theres not a connector on these they are all taped together with blue heatsrink tape total dosge job likes

but i found a boy in penecuik breaking a saxo mk1 but since mine is a mk1 i got the plug connector thing from him and the wires are diff but can u get a close up of what your wires coming from the loom of the car are....id come and hae a chat wit u but ive no petrol or money lol

had had that problem too.. pulled the wires a lil more and the 'plug' part popped out of the body.. RESULT..

easy job done..!
