Its only 2001+ vtr (3 plug ecu) that has 98 bhp - all before are 90bhp!

i dont think this is true, if you have a mk2 98hp ( i have a 2003 vtr).
if you think from a monetry perspective, an exhaust system/manifold and induction kit would give the same performance upgrades on both engines, but the mk2 will always be 8hp higher!
so using a mk1 is useless because you are in a way wasting your money.
if you had a budget to get your vtr to 130 hp it would be cheaper to use a 3 plug vtr engine, as the mk1 1 plug does not sense and adjust the fueling, hense having the car remapped?
i think this is true but correct me if im wrong!
