Post breather filter/induction kit maintenance?

I fitted an open green filter to my saxo 1.1 a few months back. I just need to know how often should I change the crankcase breather filter as it looks a bit blocked up and how often do I need to clean the air filter.

Also there is a whistling noise which is coming from the induction kit when I am cruising/or when throttle is only applied lightly, which sounds like an air leak or something. Is this normal or have I got a faulty kit?

The crankcase breather will need a clean with hot/boiling water roughly every 3 months(depending on the mileage you do). Then after about a year it will need replacing! You could always clean the air filter when you do the crankcase breather. And in regards to the whistling sound I would check all the piping is connected up and sealed and even use a bit of sealant to help seal it up. Hope this helps!!

the green air filters should be cleaned every 10k kilometres and then re-oiled.
The crankcase breather filters are really dependant on the engine but you can't exactly clean it too much.
