Question Need Gearbox Oil Topup?

Hi,

My gears feel a little hard to change and a little clunky. It's like i can feel the metal inside moving. Do you need i need to change my Gearbox Oil?

Should i top it up? Totally Replace? and is there any "Special Gearbox Oil" that i should be aware of?

Thanks In Advance!

gearbox takes 2ltrs mate

75w 80 is reccomended for vts' i would think its same thru the saxo range

if you dont know how long its been since done, then there is no harm in doing it

if you jack it up on passengerside stick your head under and should see the sump plug, theres 2 on the side, ones to fill it up, although you can fill it up from the top, its easy to see where on the top, just see where the reverse sensor goes in top its just next to there

Must i jack it up to replace it or it is just to make it easier? Also what tools do i need to get the sump plugs off? (Images of the plugs would be very helpful if possible!)

Thanks for the info Yates. Repped.
