Question Missing part

Stole this pic from mymintsaxo's post hope you dont mind



see the silver foil tube - on my car I don't have one? The bit it goes into on the left has a mark as if something has been there (mine is a 1.1 mk1) not sure where it is suppose to connect to

What is this part/what does it do?/will it cause me any issues? I have a rev issue but dont all saxos

I believe they changed that on mk2's.

Is to let the heat out from the manifold is it not?

Why does it look like it's connected to the CAF (cold air feed)?

Apparantly, according to my friend, its to heat the engine up quicker in the cold mornings. although why its going into the cold air feed i shall never know

The above post is right might be something to do with it being single point injection(a guess)the piping can be picked up from a good motor factor.

my mk2 golf had 1 its for cold mornings to warm engine up quicker

the golf would die out in the winter if i never had it there
