Try reconnecting the plug under the seat, otherwise cut off and replace the connector...

I've had this problem since i've had my car. When i had my car in the garage when i had some engine problem, they 'fixed' the flashing light problem too, only for it to return a few weeks later. I think it's just an issue with the connector under the seats.

Look for an orange wire under both front seats, then disconnect the plug and clean the contacts with a cotton bud or something and this should sort it out. You will need to do the drivers and passengers side!

Go under the seats, remove the wires, give them a little clean with a brush (toothbursh, wirebrush etc.) get any dirt out, push back in make sure everythings safe and secure. Happened again today on my leathers severely bumpy road caused the wire to slip

I expect the garage just reset the ecu, this will temporally turn off the lights only to return as the fault was still there.
