Today Im in London. Wow.
Seriously, kudos for all you peoples that sit on over crowded trains.
then get off at a station, que up at starbucks,
pop into pret a manger before strolling into the office.
Daily routine.
The last time i was here at 8am was about a year ago.
im currently sitting in some offices at canary wharf to start some board meeting about a website.
Theres twice as many buildings and i can see people are just as stressed without even realising.
My heart goes out to you.
When do people think they'll retire?
I couldnt do that rat race all the way into my 40s.

I'm also sat in an office in Canary Wharf......... infact I'm sat in it every week day!!
What building are you in Rem??
I'm in One Canada Square (Canary Wharf Tower - With the pyramid on the top) on the 43rd floor!!
If I wasn't so snowed under we could have 'done lunch'

Im now just off of the Wharf at Mile End - E14 7AF
One Canada Square or DS7 as its known to everyone in a Hi Vi. when i used to do project management, id did the building management systems for the 52nd floor there.
Spent most my time in BP2 - One Churchill Place (barclays) overseeing Levels 12, 14 & 15.
I just find the whole place as a "Oh id like to do that" and then you do, and you realise it looks better than it is.
bit like a one night stand with a bird you've already shagged. Seems kinda repetitive.

Errrrrmmmmm.... there's only 50 floors in One Canada Square!?!?!?!?!
The Citigroup and HSBC buildings have both got 45 floors and they are the 2nd tallest buildings in UK.... One Canada Square being the tallest

my bad.
why'd i think it was 52nd
shits numbered differently from the service side iirc. Like they skip 13 in the lifts and stuff.
I worked at Herons Quay 3 on the 25th floor. Might be what im getting confused with.
Anyway. Im a Canary Wharf slut.
You'll be surprised how easy it is to get in and out of these places.
"Oh hia George" at the security entrance
"its john" they'll say
"yeah i know, anway see you later"
And walk on through.

I do this everyday
Train at 7:30
Arrive at Liverpool Street 8:30
Depending on if the people are nice or not will should get on a crowded underground around 8:35. If not they stop us at the top and dont let us go down cos its " Over crowded"
Then 15 mins on underground to Holborn
5 min walk down the road and into the office
Everyday!

Went to London a few weeks ago. Everyone on the tube looked so bloody miserable! What I wanna know is, why when you're squashed into a tube that's jerking around like crazy, do people hold their i-pods in their hands. Stick it in your pocket....and don't fall over....?
