OMG!!!! what a muppett

the search function finally worked and i have just check the registration of my escort to see if its on the insurance database yet so i can tax it and i think admiral may have made the biggest FAIL of all time. i phoned up on wednesday just after i got the car to change the reg on the policy to the new car and the bloke said ok its done and all changed.

i then said ok how much have the payments gone down by as the mondeo was a 2.5 litre v6 and the escort is only a 1.6 superfast speed machine.

he said oh they havent gone down they have gone up a bit due to the fact that you have to an administration charge to change the reg. i thought this a bit wierd but just thought i would leave it and see what the payment schedule thing said.

anyway just check on the insurance database and if i type in the reg of the escort it says its a MONDEO ST24 !!!!!!!!!. is it possible that the numbskull bloke could have just changed the reg number and not bother to change the details of the car?

will this cause any problems for me as im gonna have to phone them now and ask WTF they think they are doing. thing is now when my insurance certificate comes through its gonna have the wrong fecking car on it.

what do i do?

im with admiral and they kept sending me insurance leters with last years date on eg insurance start date june 08 insurance end date june 07 i rung up and sed that aint posible but he was adimant he was rite and after raking up a 75 pound fone bill and a month later it got sorted

In response to original question.
Just call them up.

If it says its on the wrong type of car. it probably means its on the wrong car all together and you could be pulled for driving with an illegal plate.

well its official admiral staff are complete and utter tossers. they had done exactly what i thought but they have refunded me the charge and my payments have gone down now so all is good. only trouble now is gotta wait ages for the bloody insurance certificate to tax my car. better get shanks pony out lol
