Default Fair Swap?

Hi all, I currently have a standard maritius S Reg Vtr with 82k on the clock. My mate is looking for a swap with his Miami blue J reg 106 xsi. Hes just had it in to LAD development for a gti engine conversion (cams, stainless exhaust etc) the engine has 45k on it whereas the car itself has 120k. He wants my car plus about 400 squid as he has lost his job and need a cheap runabout and the cash! Is this a fair swap as I know a few people on her have Xsi's but I dont really know what they go for!

And thoughts welcome

Cheers

J reg is good

Means earlier emmissions standards, which means easier MOT, no cat needed, more power!

VTR's are alot more common, and with the value of Saxo's falling so much I'd go for the 106, it's something a bit different and will appeal to an enthusiast market when you come to sell. The box will have different ratio's to the VTR/S so you may find fuel consumption is an issue, especially with the mods. Depends if you do alot of long journey's I guess.. I wouldn't worry too much about the shell being on 120k.

Personally I love S1 106's!
