Whats wrong with the driveshaft? Is it split?

If its just clunking the MOT testers don't fail it, as the car is stationary whilst its having the test done. Mine didn't fail the MOT anyway.....

its clunking badly and the gaitor is split, not sure wehter they will fail it on both or just the gaitor? will have to replace whole thing at some point so may as well do it now, just unsure on what will fit other than mk2 vtr?

Yea they will fail it on a split gaitor.

You need to know weather or not the hub end of your driveshaft is tapered or flat.

VTS/GTi ones dont fit as they have abs, all other model saxo ones are the same (as long as they are tapered or not)

VTS one have ABS but can use them still.
I know the line up to the hub can be different, best off getting a new one anyway mate form eurocarpart there about £40 or something.

Wouldnt risk getting 2nd hand as it could be shagged.
If you have a search around i posted a pic of different ends of the shafts where meet the hub, and if you go on the main part of the site from home page and read simos story there is pictures in there

driveshafts are tapered onn the mk2 so will be a non-tapered shaft on the mk1 vts.

wouldnt matter man you could prob knock the abs ring off,can do tht with a gd few french motors, on the subject of driveshafts i got a new one from citroen, and it was replaced like 3 times under warrenty, twice the inner boot at the box end ripped, and once the cv joint gave up.
