Wasn't quite sure which forum to stick this in, so i guess this is a good-a place as any.

I've been looking into meshing my front grille, but after reading bits here and there, it struck me that i need to think about the bonnet release lever (above the top plastic panel in the current grille). I dont really see much of problem in doing this, i just never noticed anyone elses cars with the small slit just right of the citroen badge.

Any pics or advice on how you guys (& gals) went about it would be appreciated, joe.

MY DAD CUT A SQUARE OF THE MESH OUT JUST ABOVE MY VTR BIT SMALL ENOUGH FOR MY LIL FINGER!

ok, ta for the reply. I only asked cos some of the examples and mesh jobs ive seen have unsightly holes big enough for your entire hand.

its easy enough to do and it looks the part aswell.ive cut the hole just so as i can get a couple of fingers in(bonnet release catch).you dont really notice it as long as its not too big.heres a pic of mine,sorry about the crap picture quality,but yer get the jist

how do you go about cutting the plastic bits out? i guess you just cut them out then apply the mesh

yeh,its tricky cutting the unwanted plastic away,take your time with it and you will be ok,ive fastened my mesh in with the screws that hold the grille in place
