has anyone got alloys on their car and use 20mm spacers? have you had any problems? i have enzo alloys with a centre bore of 75 i know saxos are 61.5 so ill need spigots but its all getting confusing help

iv got 20mm's with my alloys mate. i was told i needed them with mine. no problems as such bar having to do a bit of bendin to stop rubbing .

u can just about see one of the spacers here, just behind the alloy

so how exactly are your alloys on ? what size do you have? do you have the spacer on the hub and then the alloy just screwed through into the hub nothing in the centre of the alloy?

the spacer is simply like a thick disk with 4 holes for the wheels nuts to go thru to screw onto the hub. they go between the alloys n the hub face if u get spacers u need to get extended wheels nuts to compensate for the extra distance to the hub.

but normally the centre of the alloy would rest around the hub if you just have the spacer then is the alloy just held on by the four nuts?

the centre of the alloy aint gonna be resting around the hub, not in my case anyway, its not possible, but like i say this has got me confused now so im gonna leave it lol

With out spacers the wheel would be up against the hub, but then you add spacers & they will then sit against the spacer which sits against the hub, then 4 nuts hold them in

i have 195-45-15 with 20mm spacers and they are fine,the only problem i had was getting locking wheel bolts to fit.

yeh i know that but wat they were sayin is that without spacers he allooy wud sit around the hub, which im sure it wudnt.

no what i was saying is there is a hole in the centre of the alloy for a reason if you just put a normal spacers on then the alloy would just be held on with bolts not the support of the extrusion in the hub

yeah I had some alloys on my saxo that had 20mm spacers on and the spacers I had had an extended bit in the middle so they were a bit like lego pieces.... they cliped onto the alloys and then in turn would attach to the hub the same way as alloys did.

Not sure how strong that would have been but with the bolts it was enough to hold them on my car!

i have 22mm spacers on my alloys and i have no probs (touch wood) just remember to get longer bolts!!
