Default mk2 vts progress / coments are welcome

2010 summer

got a mk2 vts

turned out that these OZ's were bent and it was not possible to balance them but
luckily i got 205 SMR's which came with car

and i started with basics

servicing - oil, filters, NGK spark plugs, K&N panel filter
wiper blades
seat covers (coz using car every day to work)
rear ABS sensors x2
rear lights
one light where damaged and other one where tinted
when i started to buy some tinted lights they wouldn’t match with the one I’ve got
so i ended up with about 3 tinted ones and set of white/red (don’t know which model they are from)
boot badge (that where half broken)

2010 okt
then on a way to london i 'lost' one cylinder
and turned out that one injector was down

2011 may
it was time for rear axle refurb so i went down to IM Axle Specialists
new bilstein shock absorbers
powerflex
told them to lower it as well about 40mm

2011 jun
front suspension
new bilstein shock absorbers
springs 30mm

new polybushed wishbones

track rods
link rods

Gearbox oil (because i didn’t support drive shaft high enough on passangers side)

Lifted bonnet

2011 jul
heat wrapped mani but had no time to fit it jet

de wipered rear

2011 aug
servicing - oil, oil filter, fuel filter +cone filter
ABS sensor (front passengers side)
Sportex de-cat and race tube.

and got some battery cover

and got some C5 'steelies' in a boot now but this is how it looks for now

just got my hands on 266mm brakes
thanks to mandyslover70
and braided hoses from swampy

2011 sept
got this beauty

just have no idea when i'll get around to fit all that stuff on..
And a have to make some decent cold air feed and heat shield for that filter..

266mm brakes + brake lines are on
what thats well worth thing to do. What a differece!!

But gearbox is on it's way now

Default 2011 okt

got my oil catch tank on at last

got my box 'refurbed' (new bearing and seals) and it is on now
+
new clutch kit and powerflex lower engine bush

that engine bush makes car shake a bit on idle but once I set off it feels great

have been driving on C5 'steelies' for a while now and got centre caps for them

and colour coded my headlights in mauritius blue

thanks.
I did not weight them but as you can find on forum c5's are about 4,7kg but SMR's about 9,??kg without tyres.

so it is about 4-5 kg save per corner
+ less unsprung mass
+ less rotational mass

If you can't afford some light weight alloys(I can't) then C5's is a way to go, I think.
