Default BeavaBasha's VTS'd Flat arched 106

Hello Boys and Girls.

i know im probably going to get stick for having a 106 but meh, get over it there all the same underneath, so signed up on on here a while ago but dont really use it much, so why not start my sax-p adventure by showing you my motor.

I guess you could call me a old timer in the french car scene.
Been in the 106/saxo scene since 2006 now so nearly 7 years

from a standard 1.1 indi, to a caged vts'd track car with a 0-60 of 6.5 seconds!!!

So lets begin,

Heres my car in May 2006 when i brought it (conveniently called him Vicram)

Through the years the car has been through masses of change and through many styles

2006 - Standard
2006 - 2007 - Half hearted cheap mods, e.g gay halfords 3'' sunstrip (i was 17 lol)
2007 - 2009 -Audio enthusiast
200......its a 106/saxo (it always will be) Chavy
2009 - 2010 - 1.1 track ready, haha
2010 - 2011 - Half hearted 16v track slut
2011 - 2013 Sorn for 2 years (lots of work done)
2013 - And finally done, properly track biaaaatch (at least nearly anyways)

Here is how it stands today

i litterally have thousands of pics of my car, so i wont bore you with them (unless you want me to lol)
2010ish, i 16v vts'd it, it was a monster compared to the 1.1, scared me tbh,
jam motorsport carried out the conversion for me, cost me alot of time and hard earned, but my gosh was worth it,
but after a fuel leak and neglected due to funds.....

IT CAME OFF THE ROAD early 2011

BUT this gave me a chance to put some real work into him, so here is how it stands today.

current spec.

engine-

(soon to be put on the rollers, because i believe its had some work previously done as it is quick, takes standards gti's/vts's, but i got it from a scrap yard so owner unknown)

Millers Oils EP 75w-80 GL5 high quality gear oil
Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 Petrol fully synthetic engine oil
1.6 16v VTS lump 3plug
complete VTS running gear
powerflex bottom mount
nissens rad
custom simota induction
cold air feed
crank case breather filter
4-2-1
3'' magnex s/s decat
group N linkages
upper omp brace
lower omp brace

interior-

VTS clocks
fully stripped
cobra monaco pros
omp 4 point
omp low side mounts
weld in seat rails
weld in omp 6 point half cage
compbrake quickshift
shortened shifter
braided internal fuel return
passenger foot plate
track door cards
fire extinguisher
tire foam (spare n cage removed)

exterior-

nearly Completely put back to standard!!!!
15'' nimrods
toyo proxy 4's
vts brake set up grooved & vented
lowered 40mm all round on gmax (i know, lol, soon to be bilstiens)

probably loads more stuff but im to tired to think, heres a few teasers until i get some proper pics

before it came off the road there was a awful vibration, everywhere! lol
so first things 1st i got the top engine mount off, snapped the bolt in half! replaced that with a high tensile bolt, everything is now ok on that so far!
(sorry all these pics were lost when my laptop broke)
then i bought the 3'' magnex straight through with mid silencer, i know its no pugsport but i really like it its so quite until i unleash the monster
and still spits flames willy nilly, was going to telford last night with my mate following me, went down some nice country roads, my mate was saying how 1 foot flames were exiting when i put the power on, love it !!!!

then went about changing to a nissens rad as it always ran hot before because i used a 1.1 radiator for a while, staying at a really nice temp now.
i then got my induction sorted, was a bargain, fiesta st simota induction from a guy breaking a st,
didnt know what he was selling so got that for £20
got a ASH elbow from ebay, along with a cold air feed and bobs your uncle! looks and sounds great, cant wait to get it on the rollers,
also a crank case breather filter as it was just blocked off previously but read that can overheat the crank casing and cause cracks??? either way it scared me into that purchase lol

i then thought id treat him to some proper quality oils and a service -

Millers Oils EP 75w-80 GL5 high quality gear oil
Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 Petrol fully synthetic engine oil
runs great with this, along with NGK quad sparkplugs, and a new fuel pump (old one was leaking), new alternator belt and a few other goodies, the engine now sounded and felt way more healthier,
BIGGEST advise could ever give is service your car regularly, my gosh it makes a difference!
to be extra sure of no more fuel leaks i went ahead and replaced all the old clips with nice new shiny (& tight) ones
so engine wise the car is sound now

within the last few weeks we got the seat rails welded in

and also welded in the cage, it was a bolt in but now its a weldin
6 point rear cage, with spreader plates

^^^ my favorite picture welding in the dark FTW
