Default Saxo VTS water pump

Hello, currently in the process of changing head gasket / water pump / cambelt amoung other things, been haulted by the water pump, got the 2 bolts off but it seems to be rusted into the block, been hammering away at it for ages and its just comming apart rather than comming out! Anyone know how to get round this problem?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

a little heat can help mate but not too much, the water pump been on since built so sometimes the bolts fuse onto the thread.
Sometimes giving them a direct hit on the botl head then tighten it a little this will hopefully release the inside corrosion, but dont tighten too hard or bolt will snap, and lossen slowly not creating to much friction again bolt can snap.
Plenty of wd40 aswell, and remember use the correct spaner or socket as last thing you want too do is round the bolts.

This was what was left of mine from the VTR. Had the same problem just keep hacking at it until it gives up mate. If you have a pry/large chisel bar get that just behind the pulley and keep tapping it with a lump hammer.

Good luck mate.
