What bout the ECU etc,is it the 1 that goes with the VTS engine? is it locked, could be the immobiliser?

could be a multitude of things m8, pain in the ass but u need to go thru it methodically if u know what a mean, can u hear ur fuel pump priming wen u turn the key once i think it is, check that ur gettin a spark at the plugs and check theres fuel getting to the fuel rail.

soz bout last post m8 lol, try all ur earth connections and wiring for the starter and alternator, make sure these are sound, sometimes the starter motor solenoid can be unstuck byt hitting it with a hammer for example,, injectors would be manged by the ECU which relies on various other sensor inputs, also theres the main fuel injection relay that sits below the ECU, check that.

sounds like it could be the wiring, try checking all the connections on the injectors, check this out, http://www.autoelectric.ru/auto/citr...xo/nfx/nfx.htm the 2 end injectors are linked by wire 1211, try tracing the wiring and have a look. same for the coil pack, trace the wiring ie wires 110 + 111 off ecu pins 55+37.

is it even attempting to start?all four plugs got a spark?

only other thing to check is ya compression.

if you got those 3 things you should be away, check compression of each cylinder mate

yeah but u can get water ingress and stuff that can seep its way in to the loom, corroded connections, loose connections etc, the VTS is quite torquey so theres a lot of movement in the engine i believe which can cause breakages and the like and over the years it just corrodes n shit.
If u have the patience and can work methodically, u can go thru the fuel injection system wire by wire, component by component and test away, checking for continuity will reveal any broken wires, check all ur earths this way, check for voltages and signal voltages and earth returns from all sensors, note that some sensors will only operate when the wheels are rotated.
Do u have the associated wiring diagrams n stuff.

hi all, right starting problem sroted thanks to sax-oli! and thank you all for your help as well! sax-oli told me to try the engine speed sensor changed it and she fired up ! she seamed fine drove her down the road and she started to run a little lumpy and staled try to fire her up again but she would not start so i opened the bonnet and it stank of fuel and i check the fule line that was still on so then i open the throttle body and LOTS of fuel pissed out of it :@ so thats what stalled it! the fuel is coming from the fuel press reg and into the manifold im wondering if its because ive blocked off the fuel return i did this because ive read on this forum that you can block it off and it will be fine???? any ideas cheers
