Quality idea... Student life will never be the same for this guy again!
His Ebay auction ended a day or so ago... an interesting concept!
No doubt hundreds of people will try to repeat it... but it's never the same once it's already been done!

His site must be down temporarily?
Basically its about a student, who was facing money issues. He wanted to make money, so he set himself the goal of making a million dollars!!
He then knocked up a simple website with a grid of a certan size, which contained 1million pixels (dots which make up the screen)
He then sold each pixel for $1. Minimum purchase was $100, ie, a 10x10 pixel square.
He's just sold the last block of pixels this week for about $160,000!!

he has sold all of the pixels for the tidy sum of £566k not bad going for a student 
the last set on ebay made him the most money, im sure i read they were going for £80k+
not a bad idea.
so does the advert space go directly to the link for the place?? is that all it does??

Yeah - the pixels make up your advert and when you click the advert it takes you to the advertisers website.
It looks shite - but its an interesting concept.
It would also be a little goldmine for search engines on the look out for links, etc.
Its all good.
