Best Sub for under £200?
As the title says, anybody got any suggestions?
Would prefer an active sub, saves all the amp wiring etc.. Would anybody know any good deals going around?

whats your budget for your amp though?
because you can get a spl dynamics that runs 750wrms for £160 but getting a amp to match this will cost more than the sub
talk to ashleyp he's from your area and hes selling a 800wrms sub which is mint

VIBE Slick SLR Corner package.
1200watt Sub in a corner enclosure
900watt VIBE Slick Amp.
Good value for money (usually around £150 from halfords), I've had mine now for about a month never messed up and brilliant sound quality, bassy too
Easy to fit and comes with a wiring kit too. Would recommend purchasing a vibe quick plug which disconnects the amp from the battery when not in use, only a tenner and saves a flat battery.
Only problem is if you have 6x9's in the parcel shelf the sub wont fit correctly (will push the 6x9 upwards)

LOL!
not only have you mentioned vibe in a "best sub" thread, but youve mentioned halfrauds too
OP: what type of sub would you want?
dom, seeing as your from bedford, i have a soundstream t410 for sale, ive built a 1.7cuft box for it, slot ported to 33hz, you can have it for £110
800wrms, very very rare, and an absolute monster

im interested to know, why having a sub would cause a flat battery? unless you fucked up on your wiring, and have a constant feed to the amp. i.e botch'd the remote wire, to keep it turnt on.

Was on about the amplifier mate. On my old corsa had a problem with the feed to my amp as the soldering for the switch to cut off the feed was damaged, so now, for my new system I use a VIBE fast plug which cuts off feed incase of the amp failing as I'm cautious about my battery life...and my wiring is perfect
Sorry if I misunderstood at all, thought he was after the best 'package' for £200 or under...
And whats the matter with halfords for buying your audio equipment?
You buy it off the internet and its more headache incase your equipment fails and you have to return it ect...

halfrauds = ripoff
vibe = fail
best package under £200 = still fail
talking in peak figures = fail
getting ripped off by a "fast plug" instead of using the remote wire including in wiring kit = epic fail
owning a bronze mk1 = win

I'll agree with you about Halfords ripping off, but its either halfords or car-parts-4-you as my local, which is still 30 miles away :/ And cp4u were wanting £170 for the same package.
Mate if I had more money to spend on a better system I would, but hard times for me eh...VIBE does okay, middle of the range.
Just used a fast plug to be on the safe side.

nope vibe is not ok
you can get better for cheaper
a fast plug is still a rip off, it does what a remote wire does, which if you were to buy would cost around £1

its not that anyone is trying to put you off Vibe, and other such makes like fusion and Fli . . . just trying to say that, better audio equipment can be bought, for the same if not less... its help and advice, which is what 90% of this site is about!
and fair one, there is nothing wrong with buying audio equipment from halfrauds, just look around...might get it cheaper and they dont hold a great stock tbh.
im looking at getting some JBL GT5 from them, fair play... but one, they are only 40 quid each, and 2 i have 4 of them already, had 8 in total over the last year...and now want 4 more to match!

wtf with shooting me down in flames!?
I say I use vibe components - slagged
I say I put a fast plug in, only as a precaution - slagged
I'm still new to the modding scene and I'm not getting the most friendly of receptions.
I was having a laugh with you guys about my wiring and you turn it into an argument, give a guy a break...

theres better stuff for less cash
i hate the exucse "i bought vibe because i couldnt afford anything else" when the clear and simple fact is, yes you could

lol, yea understand, if I was to buy better audio, I would go the whole hog and get a custom enclosure and spend alot more time effort and money into it, at the moment, its just an upgrade from standard audio so its more enjoyable listening to music and watchin films when parked up waiting for mates or chilling at a cruise.
Mate had jbl's installed and they are better quality then vibes anyday, but price tag of them...
