If your handy with fibreglass, do you reckon you can make some mk1 front morettes at home?

i couldnt see why not...
Could make them custom to so no one can have anything the same.
Use the old headlight as a template etc etc.
Would be good imo

Surely you could start with somthing flat and get it all marked up etc to make sure it was all correct??
Or maybe start anew trend, 2 different morettes FTW!!!

you probablies can but its a lot of work, you could just use the actual headlight lens, cut the glass out very very carefully then go from there, but chances are it will crack
best way would be to make a mould, take the standard lens, put a load of car wax or release agent on it, use a gel coat, then layer on fibreglass and resin, wax and gel coat should come straight off the lens leaving you with a basic lens you can bond onto standard headlight part
then use say some drainpipe, and mark were you want them cut out the holes and fibreglass the pipes in place from the back, you would probablies need to sand down the tube from the outer part to get a rounded edge and fibreglass again
but thats how i would basically do it, then you would need some lens the same size as holes and need to mount them somehow and wire them up
