Default central locking?

ok i had a search and couldnt find it so! i have a 2000 saxo vtr the doors all lock and unlock with the key but i dont have a fob. is my car able to have a fob and can i just buy 1 and do the tuning for it? also if all vtrs dont have key fobs when standard and are an extra how do i tell if i have it or not? is it a black box by the fuse board? thanks

im sure you can just buy one but im sure they are expensive ive just got 1 key and im not paying a fortune for a fob

yeah i think if you buy a second hand 1 and get it tuned by citroen to your car it will work actualy didnt look hard enough before sorry cheers

its 30 notes for a fob to be reprogrammed at my local citroen, thats if you have the grey card with the code on otherwise they charge another 35 for the code and then slap vat on top, add in the cost of the fob and you might aswell get a new alarm with a fob

if i get a new alarm with a fob do citroen still need to program it for me or is it just plug and play? cheers
