Default Converting a 1.1 to vts steering rack

Am I right in thinking that a vts/vtr has a quicker rack than a 1.1 resulting in more direct steering?

If so is it possible to fit vt racks to 1.1s?

Is it worth the effort?

I assume it is not too much bother to strip away power steering bits before fitment if fitment is possible?

Cheers

Many manufactures move the stops on the sporty models to get less lock. This is purely so they can fit bigger wheels with no chance of rubbing. If Citroen list the VTS as having less turns from lock to lock its most likely because it gets less lock. This is what they have done in the C2 for example.

If you are wanting improved steering move your strut top mountings around on each side to the "power steering" position. You will get heavier steering due to increased caster angle but car will feel better once moving they say (I have not done this mod).
