Default Three Sim into another phone, does it have to be a Three phone?

Hi,

I've had my Nokia 5800 for 2 months now, and I'm really not getting along with it, plus I don't get a signal at home, but I'm in a 24 month contract.

Is there a way to end the contract early without paying £550 (22 months left at £25 a month) or, would my sim work in another phone?

Say I bought a pay as you go blackberry, could I put my 3 sim into it and stilll get my free minutes, texts and internet?

Thanks,

Dan.

Seemed like a good idea at the time, read lots of good reviews about the phone, 3's site says I should get a full signal at home, and unltd everything for £25 was an offer I couldn't refuse =/

You have a case mate.

If their site clearly states you get signal and you don't, then I'd take it further. There was something on Watchdog earlier in the year with the exact same story and 3 agreed to end the contract early.

If you want an hand, let me know mate - I don't mind helping.

I'd also get a cheap fun/PAYG sim card and charge it all back to them for the inconvenice.

Cheers, may take you up on that mate!

I just looked on there website again and it says "You can use your mobile to make calls, send texts and use the internet in most instances. When you’re indoors the signal strength may be better in different rooms."

=/ I'm not sure I do have a case now =S

Well in that case I'd say you have to be honest....I'd research mobile forums or something - see if any similar experiences.

I went into Three today, and they said I can change phones aslong as the one I buy has 3G and is from Three, otherwise the internet won't work. Is this true, or are they just trying to make more money?
