Tom's Stealth Saxo vtr progress thread *Bucket seats and steering wheel in! picture heavy*
Hi I am new to this so I have decided to start a progress thread to get me going.
I bought the vtr in Feb for £1000. its an x-reg and had a woman driver. Came with 63000 miles and half a tank of petrol.
So far it has just been sitting in my driveway whilst I find the money to insure the damn thing, in the mean time I've been driving my 1.1 saxo
here are some pictures of her when she was first bought;
Plans are to:
lower, not sure how much by (suggestions)
tint the lights, fogs, side repeaters
Paint the alloys black or buy new ones when I can find the money
New exhaust system (recommendations?)
install induction kit
new pressed plates
Maybe tint the windows but I don't know whether it will look chavvy

Sounds good I was playing with the idea of gloss bump strips, I think that will come later on, planning on smoking my headlights this weekend an spraying my grill which I meshed last weekend but I never got round to finishing it, might have a go at lowering it if I have time. I'll be driving it aswell fingers crossed as I have sold my 1.1 can't wait!

Hmmm not really thought about the interior too much, looking at yours though it might be a good idea, how much did it set you back?

usually for a decent set you'd need to fork out £250 or so.. because mine isnt immaculate, i got it at a bargain price of £110 (i am such a bargain hunter!!!) but yeah, needs some TLC so spent over £30 on leather cleaners, just waiting for some more of them to arrive have a look on my prog thread!

£110 is alright I'd pay that but like you said you got a bargain there mate! Plus they look great compared to the vtr seats, What's the ride like lowered 40mm by the way not sure whether to go 40 or 50

i know fella
well mine is 40mm front and 45mm back.. perfect ride height for handling, although if i could lower again I'd personally go lower on the front.. maybe 50 or 60mm (60 for looks).
if you're looking to get it done i highly recommend krisb - he is where i got mine lowered and is a top guy if you live up north iirc mandyslover also does it for around the same price

UPDATE new pics
Had some time at the weekend so did more stuff to the saxo
not really too much of a change but i did replace the wing because my other one had lacquer peel and just generally didn't look too good
I also fitted a HID kit as my mate had a spare so he gave me it, the picture isn't great on this hopefully will be able to get a better one soon
Carrying on with the stealth look I tinted the headlights
And finally I deslatted and meshed the grill, great cheap mod IMO i think it makes the front end look much better
Front end looks much better now i think!

I will try and get some better pics up after i give it a wash and its not so dull outside
Comments?
