Question sensor - wtf is this one?

been workin on the car the last couple of days and when i took my induction kit off to change the temperature sensor there was a brown sensor under the temp sensor connected to nothin?????????? there was another brown one with loom goin under throttle body and another blue one which i think is another coolant sensor for the dash light. anyone got any ideas what this brown one is and what it does? can someone check their motor?

Itll just be a spare on

I used mine as a donor when my other sensor connected cracked so i chopped the brown one off.

you think they would just bung it, thanks fellas, just checked haynes manuel and looked at wiring diagram and i think it is an air con sensor. as danboy says...

As above.

I replaced my temp sensor yesterday and thought 'blimey whats this?' but apparently it's to do with air con for continental models.

does anyone know what the other brown one is for. that one is defo connected up and the loom goes behind throttlebodie down towards the gearbox. anyone got a clue?

Reverse gear sensor? You got reverse lights working? That sensor is usually a brown top.

there isnt a problem with the sensor, i was just wondering what it was as im sure with it being a citroen it will need changing in its lifetime lol

I was referring to this other wire....is it the one for the gearbox reverse sensor...

Hae you got reverse lights, if you hvnt then you know that wires for that.
