Gasket + new headbolts + skim = maybe £50-80?

The main cost is in labour, obviously get the head skimmed properly but you can disassemble and reassemble without too much fuss if you have a haynes and your head screwed on straight. Oh, and a torque wrench

Otherwise expect about £200-300 in labour depending on the garage. But obviously comes with piece of mind and a guarantee.

Wouldn`t it be cheaper to drop a new engine in?

Steve.

I'll be doing mine this weekend as well, anywhere near Bolton?

Ive done it before, ie skim, bolts and gasket, but I expect something inevitably to go wrong
