Should i get second hand coil pack or not ?
Alright, (Sorry to speak about corsas) But basically my Girlfriend had her headgasket blow on all 4 cylinders, Warped head and a Melted water pump. Mechanic couldnt believe it was still running lol.
Anyway thats all sorted now, Head was skimmed, Gasket replaced, New water pump fitted the lot !
The mechanic said all is good, But that the car has developed (or may have already had ) a misfire on a cylinder. He tryed the plugs to no avail but he reckons its the coil pack... He said dont get a 2nd hand one as it may be no good, But my dad reckons they can test them at the scrappy and guarantee it works for you.
The guy at my local spares shop said dont get a 2nd hand one too, But then again he would he offered me a new one for £65, When considering i seen a new one on Euro car parts for £45, I thought that was expensive.
You rekon i should get a 2nd hand one or go for the brand new one ? New = £45 - £60 ! Second hand = Possible free - £20 cause my GF uncle owns a local scrappy.
