what kind of quotes have you been getting?

300 to 400 almost double! The problem is in my area there isnt a great demand for modding so they over price everything!

Use the yellow pages for bodyshops or have a run out and ask. £200 is the usual going rate.

£100 quid round here. I would have got it done on me black saxo but im wasnt too sure on it. Looks good on some cars.
EDIT: mind you, every other lad with a civic has got it done, suppose they can do them for that price here as almost everyone around here drive civics!.

and what about these tailgate boot panels that claim to just stick on over your bootlid making it flush, are they even worth it?

Dont think tht wud work as your handle piece sticks out from rest of boot, and you would have a gap between panel and the rest of the boot!?
thts pretty much what they do anyways. take handle lock and number plate off, weld a metal jig on and smooth over it and spray
