Brake problems
I have fitted 266mm brakes to my furio, I fitted them with brand new mintex pads & discs. After the had bedded in, i noticed they were warped as whenever i hit the brakes the car shook like mad! So i was told to replace just the discs as the pads were quite new. I have done that and they have been bedded in, they are a lot better than the mintex ones were but they still do feel warped and shake a bit if i hit the brakes hard. I took out the pads the other day to rough em up a bit to take the glazing off them and see if they would flatten and i noticed that there are bits of the pad broken off, why would this happen?
Basically, do i need to replace the pads aswell? Or do i now need to replace the discs and pads again?

When you fitted the disks did you use a dial test indicator to check for run out?
Did you make sure the mounting face on the hub was clean?
I tend to clean it up with a wire brush.

As above. If there is a grain of anything on the face then it will put the outside edge of the disc off by mm's

howlong did it take to notice ? cheap discs warp easily im guessing s youve upgraded the brake size youve been giving them a harder time and leaving it later to brake maybe its just not a good combination of disc nd pad for your driving style. although how are the 266 brakes worth the buy ?

How long did you bed the pads/discs in for, and did you do it properly?
Never heard of decent discs like Mintex's warping - are you sure they weren't already damaged when you got them?

They were brand new and sealed no visible damage at all. Maybe i hit the brakes too hard when i was bedding them in? ive kept them though so ill give them a try when it comes too new brakes again. May of been the pads, seem to be better now i have sanded them down a bit
