Default Aerial problem

Right, so the other day I bought a bee sting aerial for my saxo, today a package arrived with it in.
When I get home I take off the oversized stock saxo aerial by unscrewing it just as told. But for some reason I was unable to fit the new aerial. On closer inspection i noticed that the screw thats attached to the main part of the car has been worn down so there are no grooves. I tried to see if I could take the screw of but its completely stuck there.
Any idea of what it could be?
I will post some pictures up when I can.

just sounds like its been de-treaded... your probs best off getting a new aerial mount from the scrap yard or something but make sure you seal it with silicone or something the bolt for taking it off is just under the light
