yes, bring it along to me, leave the car and £600 with me and it'll have more power. then best tell dvla that the engines been changed for a 1.6. Seriously this question is asked a zillion times and 99% of people will tell you to keep your dollar in your pocket towards buying an R or S

Turbo

££££££££££££££££££££££££

Even then in a 1.1 youd struggle to keep up with a vts

can try traditional ways, ie induction kit, exhaust but thats about your lot, theres no magic way of making a 1.1 anywhere near the VTR let alone the S without spending kazillions and then life expectancy of the engine is probably going to be somewhat akin to that of a BNP supporter in Brixton

there are people on here who have done some good stuff with turbos etc on 1.1's but don't expect it to be cheap or easy, the first few BHP are the cheap ones to get, then it all gets expensive. Good used VTR engine, near enough a straight swap, £50-£175, couple of days buggering around if you're working on it yourself, instant 90/98bhp. Don't know what a multi point is BHP-wise but you'll spend a shit-load more then that to get 90bhp out of it

If your really wanted to go fast along B roads you should upgrade:

-Bigger brakes
-Stiffer, lower suspension setup
-Strut braces
-Full exhaust system and manifold
-Lose as much weight as possible

Some ideas for you
