Default A couple of things.....

My 1999 vts mk1 as started becoming slow at starting. Almost like the battery is flat. Put a volt meter across it today and got the 12v out of it. Tried a new battery and it's the same. Is it my starter on it's last legs?
When my engine is warming up after a minute or so of running, it starts rocking back and to and shaking the car, also get a clunk when going from 1st to 2nd gear. The engine mounts all look new....
And last, my heater is gutless! It works fine, but the fan as no power in it and takes a age to clear steamed up windscreen( sun roof leaks!)

Sounds like starter motor is on last legs, cold weather won't be helping, rocking of engine will be mounts, altho you say they "look" new, heater could be heater matrix packing in and the sunroof leaking, take the headlining off, seal around the sunroof and aerial base

tbh sun roof easy fix, replace started motor and then knocking from 1st to 2nd could be gearbox mount maybe, depends where the noise is coming from, because could be knackered driveshafts?

I got the car at the right price, even with these problems.
It went through it's Mot about 6 weeks ago and had, pair drive shafts, pair bottom arms, pair drop links and the pair of front wheel bearings.
I'm thinking the noise is the springs on the shocks not sat in there seat right.
It was lowered just before I bought it.
