"shaving" gti leathers
Hi guys, i think my gti leathers need a "shave" as there going sort of fluffy.
Anyone shed some light on how i should be doing this? Someone told me to literally get the shaving foam and the razor out, but i didnt bieleve them

Hi mate, before you do anything like that get some "JML bobble off" at least i think it's JML. It's that weird company that you see on the shopping channels with pointless products like "wonder wipe" etc.

a cheap set of bic throw away's work just as well mate i use them on my type r seats in the ek9 just pull the razor along in one direction but "DON'T" press on. and use a new razor for every section then if you spray the seats with hair spray after they will last longer before the bobbles start to form again. there's a guide on civic type r owners but i cant link ya because of the rules.

I used one of those bobble offs on my gti seats it worked a treat!

As above. Argos do it for pittance and its spot on. Got loads of bobbles off my seats

Cheers for the link. I dont fancy using a razor on my seats, would be too easy to damage them

As said the "JML Bobble Off" is the best way to go. However although it will improve the look of the alcantra. It also loosens the fibres and they will continue to wear, sometimes even quicker than if they were left. Expect to do this more than once.
