Starter to machine polishing
I have been wanting to start machine polishing for a while but lack of funds has always stopper me but I am being brought a machine polisher for my birthday at the end of this month and was wondering what I should start off with buying? I have priced up a silverline silverstom rotary machine polisher combined with some 3m tape, 250ml bottles of menzerna final finish, power finish and intensive polish along with a 5" backing plate lake country orange, white and blue pads and with delivery this is £126.12. Is this a good price for what you get and what other products would you reccomend.

Got my kit from i4detailing, very helpful guy and quick service. I have the DAS6 and I love it, done quite a few cars now and had no probs with it.

The only reason id prefer a rotary over a dual action is because apparently it will take you 4x longer to remove scratches and swirls than using a rotary but would you reccomend just going for a D/A

To start with its probably best especially if your new to Machine polishing.
A rotary gets quicker results due to the fact it generates heat a lot faster than an Orbital (DA) polisher, you then have more chance of burning through the paint if your not careful with it.
A good tip is to source some spare panels from your local bodyshop or scrappie (wont cost much), this way you can have a little practice with the polisher/ Polishes/ Pads and just get a general feel for it.

ye think I might just get that da menzerna combo on cyc seems a good buy and everone is raving about it what else would I need aswell as the kit. I know I will need tape so thats sorted and I have all the stuff to clean your car before machine polishing.
Also what order does it go in is it like this
