Fishing rod licence... which one?
Okay, so its been maybe 8 years since i last went fishing.
Walked around a local lake and saw about 10 carp swimming around the same spot. Just wanted to cast out there and then.
Im looking at rod licences...
the 2 options:
Trout & Coarse
Salmon & Sea Trout
Which one do i want for lakes and carp, roach etc?
i think its the first one? I have searched on google but couldnt find answer haha.
Anyone else been fishing lately?

you need a trout and coarse one as carp fishing is coarse fishing!

Trout and Coarse. You need a rod license if your wetting a line, even if the pond/lake is on private property!

Fishing....
The rods aint cheap + then you have to buy the bate,
You have to pay for a licence to catch the fish,
& it has to be one of the most boring sports ever invented,
can i ask what the buzz is about been cold, bored all in aid to catch some fish??
& can you take the fish home with you when you caught them or do you have to chuck them back in the lake, sea, river n so on? lol!

The buzz? Fishing is only boring if your doing something wrong, a bad lake, or just very unlucky!
The buzz comes from having a 20lbt fish fighting on the other end of the line.

just got back actually. all the money from the fishing licences goes to preserving the fisheries and rivers, its not for profit.
i guess its like anything, the thrills in the chase. but then i cant see the point in golf, tennis, horse riding, walking, running, exercising, doing drugs, going clubbing............
oh, dont forget to find out whos lake it is and who controlls the fishing rights.
oh one lat thing,if its a carp lake and you want to use 3 rods legally you need 2 licences!!!

Is it not a buzz soley because something other than sitting down holding a rod is happening? Id be quite buzzin if after hours of sitting on the spot something happened
