Default Requested: cbr400rr nc23 build.....PIC HEAVY

Well after putting up the video of my bike, i was asked for a progress thread.
Noticed there are a few different cars other than saxo's in progress section so think this would be a suitable place for it.
Instead of writing all this out again im just copyin it from the bike site i go on.

Well after messing about with other bikes and tryin to find another i like apart from the nc23 i have decided to sell my fireblade and put all the money into rebuilding my baby.

Plans i have for it are going to be:

Full stainless steel system
All new fairings in movistar colours
Wheels in green
New chain and sprockets
New fork oil and dust seals
Dyno jetted and set up properly
Silicone hoses
Few other bits like side light wires, engine casings, mirrors, screen and any thing else i can think of as i go along lol.
If any one can help me out with bits that i might needs please would be very much appreciated, even if it not on the list i have done just ask and ill let you know if im needing it

ill be taking plenty of pics while im doing it and will be putting them up as i go along.
if you forgot what mine looks like here is how it looks at the moment

Well my fairings came today
never ran so fast in my life, straight to the parcel force van haha.
Im very pleased with the finish on the panels, the only thing im not happy about is the rear light sorround its not erm not the best finish i have seen so im going to be re spraying it myself i think.
There is only a few of the holes need drilling to fit from the looks of it.
Here's some pics:

This part im not happy about, rear light surround

So now i need to get the colour matched up so i can spray the tank and rear mud guard and rear light surround again lol.
Cant wait to start fitting it.
pics to follow

well i decided to put the fairings on today, because my fairing and screen bolts arrived
took a few hours, was quite suprised the side and front fairings went on perfect no problems at all and line up perfect with no gaps,
Then the rear fairings now they were a pain in the a**e i managed to get the side fairings on and straight with not much touble, then the light sorround annoyed me a bit and had to have a brew and a think lol.
So after taking a couple of the tags off and bolting it all in place i got it kind of straight, still need a bit of tinkering will have it perfect by this weekend though while i spray the tank .
Here are the pics

I dont know what ppl are on about when they say the finish on there kits is cra*p
to me the finish looks absolutely awesome mirror finish and no imperfections, i love it .

Just need to spray the tank and do a few more bits to her and she will be showroom condition.
More pics to follow over the weekend.

Well decided to use sunday to tidy up the plastics on my bike.
Amazing what a bit of halfords plastic bumper black can do

Yeah i need a new chain and sprocket lol

oh and my angel eyes

My new exhaust came today wooooooooooooo

pics

can just see my hrc pipe on this one

New chain and sprocket in next couple of days then just need wheels powder coating

Well here is an update, seen as my bike got nicked the other week and i got it back (luckily) i was riding it round for a week and then it broke down, replaced the reg/rec started up then started pissing out oil all over the floor

So i have completely stripped the bike and its now in my computer room nice and warm waiting till i get money to get an engine off of (abrmoto)'s mate first week in november hopefully.

On the upside this does give me the chance to sort everything out, ill be sending off the tank to be sprayed within the week, and im going to strip the wheels to get them ready to spray, oh and i need to rebuild the front callipers cause there a bit sticky lol.

Here is how she stands at the mo looking a bit worse for ware lol

engine, blown head gasket, burnt valve heads, scortched cam lobes, threaded clutch cover casing threads she seen better days poor girl

can see my hrc res on this lol

tank being sent off for spray and wheels are gettin sanded tomoz

the rest of it is in the corner till i get round to it, sub frame is getting sanded and sprayed, fairings are brand new so dont need to do nothing lol

Well hopefully she will be done by middle of next month, might keep her off road over winter though as i have my car driving test on 4th november and will have a car for winter, depends how badly i want to get out on her lol

will keep updating with pics

Ive got a few pics for you all, been cleaning things up, wheels are now finished ready to go on, just getting engine ready now

front wheel painted and ready to go on

little movistar sticker under the laquer to finish the touch

here is my new engine, and the frame it came in which will be going spare

here is the back wheel being stripped ready for paint, oh and my old engine in bits getting that ready to strip and sell the bits that are ok

nice. Good that you got it back. I got my frame back about 3 years after it got stolen some one sold it on ebay and the new owner tried to register it.

keep up the good work not seen one as clean as that in a while.
