Anybody got one/had one??? Been lookin at them for my next motor n they seem like a lot of car for the money plus insurance is ok.

Or can anyone think of a similar alternative?

Getting sick of the saxo tbh, fancy something faster, bigger and more comfortable.

Bad MPG
Don't get the SMG version (its very very rare anyway)

other than that, they fit your bill of: faster, bigger and more comfortable.

yeh to be fair i shudda searched, bit of a pointless thread here, loadsa info about them on this site.

Just read your reviews, gave me a nice insight, the only thing thats put me off is the MPG. I knew they wouldn't be great, but 19mpg is a bit naff.

Can anyone suggest an alternative?

Dont forget mine was automatic but even still it isnt going to be any better than 19mpg, that was driving rediculously economical.

As AshleyP just said, check out the 325, better mpg and still reasonable speed.

I have the 325 mate and the mpg is acceptable plus being 190bhp it is slow. The 6 pot engine is just amazing

My OBC says 30mpg although it works out to be around 25 - 28mpg real time. Thats short journeys and about 5 miles on the motorway a day.

Went to Liverpool and covered 150 miles and the OBC read 40mpg. Thats not going to be exact but close

They are a lot of car for the money, i paid £4700 for mine and I got:
325ci M sport in black
sub 100k miles with FSH
Full black leather electric memory seats
AC
Traction Control
Cruise Control
Armrest
The list goes on...

The BMW is my 10th car and by far the best ive owned. So comfy, looks good, decent mpg and the driving position is amazing

My progress thread is in my sig below
