k&n panel or gen II kit?
Can't make my mind up already got a k&n panel filter as I bought it off ebay. I now can get a k&n gen II kit for £50!!! Which would perform better? I hate looking at standard airbox setup on the vtr engine I really think it looks shite Only reason I would sway towards the gen II kit.
Thoughts?

Put £50 in the petrol tank, those genII kits are just a load of pricy pipework imo. Could make a CAF to a standard K&N filter for pennies

I have heard of good gains from a k&n gen II kit with the correct exhaust system setup though.
Really hate looking at the standard airbox setup though looks crap

K&N Gen 2's are good. But its easy enough to make your own and save £100.
Edit: I read the title and the 1st reply but not the first post lol.
Yeh get the £50 Gen 2 or I will :@

Gen II for £50 all the way! Fantastic kits, you won't be disappointed, especially not for that price

Keep the set-up you`ve got but improve the cold air feed.

Get the Gen2 for £50.
you can probably acheive equal power gains for less. but after owning one, that £50 will pay dividends when you hear the grunt at 6k
Edit, i see you missed the boat. new CAF looks tidy.

6k do vtr's even go to 6k lol. Not really bothered about the sound to be honest. If you think it would breath better I might drop him a text now. By the way got him down to £40 lol not £50 but shhhh might sell it on

Buy it for £40 then sell on.
check that it's an actual gen II kit though, with the heatshield and all that jazz.
there will be a gain running it over a panel filter / CAF, but probably no more than 1 or 2bhp, so up to you if you think it's worth it.

To me an induction kit provides and needs to fit the following (In order of importance to me)
> Power
> Noise
> Cost
> Looks
Also I am tempted to say noise matters more as the power gains are only minimal haha - But the Raceland / Simota fills all four of them perfectly imo. The Gen 2 for £50 though, that is perfect in my eyes, were / who had it for sale?
