LED
Hi, i just bought some LED strip lights from ebay, and wanted them to turn on when doors open. I’m guessing i would have to tap into the power supply from the interior light???... They are going in the passenger and drivers foot well. Any ideas at all on how to wire them up would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Rhys

Open the door where it hinges there is a little push switch undo the torx screw holding the switch on and there you have your wires.

Do this, except the switch is negative not positive. So you'll need to run +ve to your lights separately, then earth via the door switch.

Anywhere really - take the glovebox off and there's a whole host of lines to tap into You're looking for a feed that's permanently on rather than a switched ignition feed. As above, you could use the fag lighter wiring as you're using LED's they're low current so wouldn't cause any strain on that wiring. You'd still want to fuse them mind you
