Confused and Anoyed!
Right iv'e been put in an awkward situation.. As I live with my mate and his girlfriend their hamster died and iv'e been given the blame for it as I put her in the kitchen at night away from the noise so I can sleep!
They claim I killed her for leaving her in the cold in which the kitchens never cold anyway! but even before this the hamster didn't come out the house (while in living room) or if she's asleep she wakens up every time I move the cage!
To the point while I was at work I was told about this via bbm, tried contacting my mate but wouldn't answer and they gone to bed before I finished at 12am when usually they stay up... Im rather pee'd off about it all tbh cause I feel im getting the blame for something pathetic! oh what to do
Sorry if this seems like a "cool story bro" thread but I need advise, Don't wanna be kicked out for losing my rag..

How old was it, only live 2-3 years anyway, if it wasn't moving from one place for a while, chances are it was dying anyway.

Sounds like shes being brudy and wanting her own space so blowing the situatuion out of proportion. Your friend sounds whipped and is following orders to ignore you. Drop kick the hamster over the hedge and say the little bastard got on his magic carpet and flew off to find Aladin.
On a serious note man, dont worry about it. They have a short life span and if you know you did nothing wrong then just put it down to natural causes. People instantly accusing someone of doing something without assesing the situation are ignorant and not worth the time.

Not sure they owned her for a while I guess but last night I didn't hear her come out at all and like I said when I moved the cage into the kitchen, was still no movement, Even went inside couple times to put dirty crocks in.

Just had. Read and if the temperature drops below 10 degrees they start to hibernate. Maybe it's hibernating? Lol. I doubt the kitchen would be that cold anyway. They're just looking for someone to blame tbh.

Its a fucking hamster, just buy them and new one and job done.
Hamsters have coats to prevent them getting cold anyway, sticking it in a kitchen would not have killed it.

My advice, don't lose your rag. Keep explaining yourself, if they don't listen, their problem. Sounds like you're probably going to end up finding somewhere else to live anyway.
Fucking Hamster killer.

If it has got cold it will of hibernated, usually they then kill themselves doing so as they haven't eaten enough or stored enough fat as they are domesticated and have become basically retarded.
I left my window open and Erica the hamster nearly did the same, put her on a hot water bottle for a bit in front of a heater and she was fine again in a few hours.
They only live about 18months to 2years anyway.

Imagine how it would be if you had fucked his missus.....
Living with a guy and his other half is a pain in the arse, I learned that the hard way. Was really awkward so ended up moving out sharpish, luckily a work mate had a spare room

What should I do just buy them another hair ball while their out? surprise them when they arrive back or would that make me look guilty.. I don't want 10 years in the slammer for attempted murder of a hamster.
