Vtr economic?
Not sure if this is the right section soo...sorry if it is.
I might be having to do a trip to derby & back on friday. 150miles each way!
Would it be cheaper to get a train ticket for £65 or drive ?
I thought it would be cheaper to drive as it will be a lot of motor way driving so a cruise at a nice steady speed?

Should work out around the same price depending on how you drive. If its easier for you to get the train, get the train. If its easier to drive.. Drive.

whether it's cheaper than the train or not depends on your right foot.

Keep your right foot level and you'll be fine
+ the convenience of driving out weighs the train journey

I could probs do that on £30/40 in my VTR. Just take it easy and don't put your foot down.

Cheaper to drive..
ignore tyre wear and such, only base it on petrol. Easily do it in less than £65

Doubt it all you want, most I had was about 54mpg average. It's bloody hard to drive economically, but I was blessed in that my commute to work wasn't start stop and it was a 70 road on to a 50 road, so I just stuck at about 55 all the way. Sucks to be you if you can't drive economically...

The saxo diesel only just scrapes that so your car must be have blocked fuel lines or something up with it.
