Default idle'ing at 2500 revs !!!

Ive just changed my icv (idle controls valve) and now when I start my vts up its sitting at 2.5 k revs.

Any idea why and how I can get it idle'ling properly.

Ps I changed my icv because my idle was all over the place, constantly up and down between 1.5 and 0 revs, stalling when changing in reverse....

Default

dunno if its a fact or fiction as iv never tried it but iv read theres a way to reset it. turn on your ignition (2 key turns) leave it on for 10 seconds, turn off, do this again for about 10 times. then start the car.
or maybe just disconnect your battery for a few hours and reset the ecu that way. may be worth giving both a go see what happens.
