an absolute sh*te search function, the ones where you cant search for forum titles! what is the point in having one if you cant do that?

for instance, take SSC for example (lots of forums are like this) I'll search for something simple... 'suspension'

there are the results I got:

Post your TWO favourite pics of YOUR car....
Proof that civic type R's suck
Should i go for the Elise?
My Project Saxo
Turbo Xsara VTS engined Saxo?
and on and on and on and on...

lol i just wanna read about suspensions!!!!!!! arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

The sites that are like this all seem to have the same forum layout.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? setting I need to change? cos I've been through them all and god knows...

Click search, then go advanced... on sax-p.

Search feature brings up maximum results for 'suspension' at 500 results

You can search for title only or keywords..

aye but a mean on sites like SSC and a few others I visit.

the search page is completely different and it doesn't have a 'search for titles only' option

the search results you get have absolutely nothing to do with what you searched for.

They used to have it, until they switched to the new site layout. I'm not flaming them or anything its a great site and I'm just using them as an example.

I know what you mean, not a saxo website but was on Tesco earlier looking for satnav, typed in GPRS and brought up one result of....A Bratz disco ball!! what the f*ck?!...

most searchs have torretts.. you can search for anything and it always comes back to porn..not matter what site your on lol
