Default MC ports

Hi guys I'm a bit confused, I'm going to be upgrading to 266mm brakes soon and want the bigger mc but euro car parts says my vts has 4 ports as standard, but the 206gti and 406 v6 have only 2. Is this a problem and how do you get around it?

You want a non abs mc!!!

Think early 406 had them and a lot of 405s

Also check the union sizes as some have 10 x 1 and others 12 x 1.

Your car would have 10 x 1 standard

Converting isn't hard if you have a brake flaring tool or access to one, can be done with a handheld one at a push but making new lines up would be better.

If its a vts you will have 2 ports. If you want to keep the abs get one with 2 ports.
2 port = abs
4 port = non abs

If you get a 23mm master cyl make sure its got the bolt holes that are level with each other like the standard master cyl, and not staggered bolt holes, else the reservoir will be on a slant. (about 45 degrees)
I had this problem when i first bought a bigger master cyl, cant remember which cars use the level bolt holes 23mm master cyl off the top of my head though.

Don't ask for a 405 item, they use 22.2mm on abs or 20.6mm on non abs other than the 405 T16 which has 23.8, and they are all 2 port even on non ABS cars, same as non abs 306, they use T pieces.

all 406's use a 23.8mm bore item.
