Passed my test...... again
So, after 2 years of not driving I finally got round to taking my test again, and after 70 minutes I passed with no minors whatsoever!!
Got to say I have well and truly learned my lesson and cant wait to get a car again.
God I've missed driving

Well Im bracing myself for the inevitable storm of criticism but I was charged with dangerous driving, long story short I was living in my car at the time and didnt fancy losing my home so I panicked and drove off when they went to pull me over. Half a mile down the road I thought sod this and pulled over but by then the damage was done.
Obviously it was a silly thing to do but I have learned a lot from it

Lose your home? I take it they'd have a reason to seize your car?

I got done for dangerous driving and banned for a year too.
Is insurance not horrifically bad for you now? Its not worth me getting insured on anything now, even c1s and 107s.
I was ordered to do an extended retest like you, but the dvla had no record of it so got away without having to

I think he meant they'd take his car which was doubling up as his house.

Why would they have taken your car from you though?
Good for you passing again though and I hope you've learned your lesson like you said.

Cheers again, I didnt really think about why they would take it I just assumed that they were pulling me over for a negative reason, turns out it was only because I had a cracked headlight

Not as bad as you might think. I still only had to do a parallel park and emergency stop, they just extend the independent driving section of the test. Was chuffed that I didnt get any minors though
