I would. Not declaring mods is one thing, but not declaring that is feckin' stupid quite frankly. If the person's involved in accident - at fault or not - they'll be found out. No two ways about it.
If they couldn't afford the premium when they renewed after getting their license back, that's their problem - not the poor fucker they hit when they do it again...

No I'd worry about my own insurance, ringing up and telling on someone seems like such a little bitch thing to do.

dont bother telling them, the insurance company will find out anyway and sting them with a huge amount owed, if they cant pay it they send in the debt collectors simple.
happens all the time so my mrs says (works for admiral)

What would be the result in not declaring a ban to your insurer?

Why would he be drunk because he's lied to his insurance?
Either way if he hit me and his insurance wouldn't pay out I'd make sure he did.

worst case is getting your insurance withdrawn and being charged for fraud.

That's one way to look at it, but (as an example) my Dad rebuilt his old Wolseley Hornet years and years ago (long before I was on the scene - it was his first or second car IIRC) and one of it's first drives, he was hit up by an unaccompanied learner. No (valid) insurance held from the learner for obvious reasons, he lost the lot and never saw a penny back.
Would you want that to happen to you?

Of course not but ringing up anytime you hear someone's not been 100% truthful with their insurance is pathetic, haven't you people got things going on in your own lives to sort out?
You're the kind of people that will be doing what was described in this thread when you get old;

Well there you go just let that happen, not sure why you'd feel the need to involve yourself.

because the earlier they find out, the less chance of him being a risk on the road .... as said before, id raather not have someone like him hit me so id reduce that risk of that happening by telling them myself.

I wouldn't say anything. Same as the no insurance thread the other day. How would you know anyway? Rumours? I stay out of other peoples business and I expect the same courtesy. Unless there's some reward for doing so, a smug feeling is not enough justification for me.
