Default Help-dvd player whilst driving

i had to get new wires for my had unit due to the old ones burning out and i want the DVD player to work at all times. i think its taking the handbrake wire and connecting it the the ground wire (black). can anyone confirm this?

just to be clear i don't watch them whilst driving, its for my passengers on long distance drives

It's illegal if it's in your view whilst driving, regardless if you say you're not watching it.

You've been warned Zero sympathy when you post the "I've got to go to court for driving without due care" thread

the first time round the guy from halfords fit it like that for me. i also had the receipt to show they did it, could use that to get out of the ticket though

"I wouldnt watch it" doesnt cut it with the law tho its either you cant see it, or its off.

Your kidding yourself if you think you won't watch it! Countless times I've NEARLY gone into the back of someone or ended up in the wrong lane/hard shoulder because I've been watching the smurfs or looney tunes (I have kids in case you wonder haha)!

I ended up taking the DVD player out the front and just having one in the back. Best way in my opinion.

I've got a screen in my car, it truly is impossible to not watch it haha. When i changed cars though it stopped working unfortunately; i just get a blue screen now regardless if the handbrake is on or not

They fit mine for me but they were a bit thick because it took 4 atempts to realise that the ignition live and positive live were the wrong way arround
