My two tone VTS Progress thread
I got my two tone vts back in November, decent price too!
Time to strip it down and service it, Inspections reveals I killed the box and driveshaft. Clutch had allot of wear on the fingers so I'm getting a new clutch whilst its all out.

Got my other gearbox, ready to put in and realised the casing is cracked!!
So having to swap casings from my old box to my replacement one.
Just got the 11 torx to take off and then can get my diff out.

Well I've just realised I now have a "cd"
Box and a"cn" box and I've heard they aren't compatable?
Can't see any wear in bearings or the gears so need to know abit more about boxes.

its been a while since i've updated this, laptops broke before Christmas so that's why there aren't any pics up as of yet. Getting up early tomorrow to sort the box and quickshift on my car.i have got a new clutch, driveshafts and droplinks. so swapping the casing on my gearbox and hope to have it in my car soon! i hvae plenty of pics that i will be uploading when i sort my laptop out

haha i do have an iphone yeah but how do i attach photos to get it onto this site ?

Danny for reference for uploading pics;
Click on a picture on photobucket
Then click on the 'i' icon on the bottom right below the pic which will bring up a screen light this
Click on the img link (4th one down) and it'll come up saying 'Copied IMG code' and you'll press ok.
Then come into your box to type a post on Saxp, click in the box and 'paste' will come up, click it and it'll insert the img code for you
Then when you submit the post as usual the pics are inserted. I think Saxp limits to 10 pics per post.

cheers for that, i tried it on that last post but didnt work.
il get the hang of it soon enough haha
i now have two gearboxes completly stripped, just come in for some foood then back out to assemble the gearbox

Managed to strip another box and rebuild myself a new gearbox!
New clutch is in place, just have to take my heat shield off and sort my quickshift out and then it will be time to assemble it! Fingers crossed for tomorrow..

Found myself a new tip for holding my clutch release bearing in...
Actually worked too!

Yup! Heard about that happening so I got my 13mm spanner and tightenend the nut down on it, cable tie it in place for extra measures. Worked a treat!
