Default Alarm Prob

Hello guys, a quick question. I got back from football earlier, I then got into my saxo to get some petrol in it for the week ahead, the alarm deactivated fine, I then got in the car, put the key in the ignition and everything went completely dead, like the battery had died. The alarm wouldn't come back on either, as there is a load of insulating tape around it (im in the process of getting a new one) I manage to wiggle a few things around, I then pressed the button and it worked fine, I don't know what alarm it is, is this a common problem?? It was strange how one minute it didn't work and then it work and I managed to start it.

It was very windy last night so the alarm may of went off, would the alarm think the car was getting broke into? Please Help it might be nothing but I would like to know as I want it sorted.

Many thanks Alastair
