wheels
Does anyone know if 195 x 45 x 16 with the correct offset will fit a standard desire lowered about 40mm without getting any arch mods. My 195 x 50 x 14 scrub at the moment with a heavy load on but I haven't checked if they're the correct offset as they came on the car, they aren't citroen rims. Also what is the correct offset?

are you talking about 16s or just that width of tyre what do you recommend doing, arches rolled or different wheels?

et 12 would stick out a little but would probably just be fine.
width of the tyre and the size of the wheel are problems. arches need cutting back slightly, just see where it catches and cut it off.

Wheels sticking out is illegal though aint it and if your like me your guaranteed get pulled (ive been stopped 18 times in 4 yrs thats gotta be a record of some kind)
Im pretty sure they will rub, my cousine fitted 195-45-16s and had to do major work in order to have ppl in the back of his car

only illegal if the edge of the wheel is further out than the leading edge of the arch, which it won't be with an et12 offset. and you're "pretty sure" 195/45/16's will rub? i've said 3 posts up they will definitely rub, so cheers for telling us what we know already:thumbup:
