saxo newb from west midlands
Alright guys I'm Nick I currently have a modified Citroen C2 and I'm 90% sure in gonna get a saxo vtr or vts for my next car in the coming months. the only thing that puts me off is I've always heard they can be temperamental. Please convince me that a saxo will make me happy! Cheers

what kind of c2 do you have?
Mechanically they quite similar really but like any car its all about how well its been looked after, however the saxo will be older than the c2 so may have more problems

It's a 1.1 design. Nice car but sluggish. I'm gonna try and find one that's lowish mileage and hopefully hasn't been ragged around. Maybe a nice 90 year old women will have a vts for sale

what spec saxo are you after? I'd imagine even a 1.1 saxo would feel quicker than the c2 due to it using the same engine but lugging less weight

You'll enjoy driving a vtr or s a lot more. As long as the saxo you buy hasn't got stupidly high miles and has been serviced regularly and well looked after and you do all the checks when you go to buy it, it should be alright, that being said it is still French and well over 10 years old so you can't expect the reliability of a E.g. newer Japenese car.
Btw where about in the west mids you from?

Im after a 1.6. Just hope I find a decent one as it's my daily and my current car has never missed a beat so to go to a car that's unreliable would be sheeeet
